Chicken Karahi

Chicken Karahi
Ingredients:
  • 1 Kg. chicken 
  • 7-8 tomatoes –chopped ( De-skinned)
  • 2 onions chopped 
  • 6-7 whole green chilies
  • ½ tsp. crushed black pepper (Kali Mirch) 
  • Salt (according to taste) 
  • ½ Cup oil 
  • 4 tsp. garlic (Lehsan) paste 
  • 3 tsp. ginger (Adrak) paste

Method:

  1. Remove skin of tomatoes.
  2. In a pot add chicken, Garlic (Lehsan), Ginger (Adrak) and salt. Cover and cook on low heat till the water from the chicken have dried and chicken is half cooked. 
  3. Add oil, tomato, green chili and onion. Cover and continue cooking. 
  4. When the water dries and chicken is tender add the Black pepper (Kali Mirch), stir and remove from heat. 
  5. Serve with boiled rice or Naan.
Serving: 5-6 persons
